Collection: Wellness Loose Leaf Teas

Herbal medicine has been used for over 60,000 years and still manages to produce results today. Although we have more advanced pharmaceuticals to help with complex issues, and modern medicine has advanced human society as a whole, we cannot deny this one thing: the old tricks are the best tricks. If nothing else, falling back on some herbal or wellness teas doesn’t hurt so long as you know what the ingredients are for and any possible side-effects if they aren’t consumed as prescribed. In tea form, though, most dosages of the herbs are totally harmless.

So, what exactly are wellness and herbal teas? Truthfully, both teas are pretty much the same, however there are some slight differences.

An herbal tea is a beverage infused with spices and herbs in hot water, sometimes including other plant materials like tree bark. The essessences from these materials mix with the water to promote health in many different ways, depending on the ingredient. Therefore, if you’re dealing with high blood pressure, a gruesome cold, digestive issues, or loss of energy, then herbal teas might do the trick for you.

A wellness tea, on the other hand, is the same as an herbal tea except it focuses more on daily health. Wellness teas are perfect to drink for any time, some of them suggesting that you drink them at different times of the day to be at peak performance. For instance, if you have an upcoming work presentation or preparing for an exam, then gingko might be the perfect tea for improved brain function. Meanwhile, teas like chamomile, lemon balm, and passion fruit are all sedatives that can help you relax at night.

The main benefit of any wellness tea is to promote better health even when you aren’t sick. You want to get the whole body in harmony to reinforce preventative measures before you get sick. Herbal teas aren’t a cure-all and certainly can’t replace prescription drugs but they can help when used correctly and regularly. Whatever you’re problem is, there’s a tea for that.

Maybe you’re already health conscious enough to have explored nutritious drinks or medicinal elixirs. The usual problem with these are their taste. Wellness teas don’t just work better than most of their counterparts but are also delicious. If you don’t like something in your tea, there are millions of combinations to find something that you’ll enjoy. There are even several services that allow you to build your own tea blends from scratch. The thing is, if you enjoy what you’re doing, then you’re likely to keep doing it. This is the key to developing healthy habits.
